Loretta Faye "Nannie" Monk, 76

Monk, Loretta Faye "Nannie" of Phoenix, Arizona passed away March 7, 2010 at the age of 76. She was born Dec 9, 1933 in Chesapeake, West Virginia and moved to Phoenix in 1955. She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Robert Edwin Monk. Her heart was in the home, her passion was cooking. Her many sought after recipes were rarely shared, and then only with family who proved to share her passion. She enjoyed spending family time outdoors and loved to go fishing. She leaves behind children Robert Dwayne Monk, Dean Edwin Monk, Debbie Ruggles and Denise McRoberts. "Nannie"was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Jerry Lavender, Braden McGlugritch, Roy McGlugritch and sisters, Patty Shock and Brenda Bessent. Memorial services will be Friday, March 12, 7pm at Deer Valley Light & Life Church, 15220 N 39th Ave (39th Ave & Greenway Rd). She will be laid to rest in Courtney Cemetery, Ashton, West Virginia.
